Star Wars Premiere Experience Part 1

At first I was not planning to do the Star Wars premiere because I heard that people would be camping a week in advance which I was not going to do so I forgot about it until a couple of days before. I found out that a friend of mine was going to be doing it, I figured I would ask them how many people were down there out of curiosity and it was probably best thing I have done. It turn t out there was only about 15 people so I grabbed my coat and bag and rushed down there to get a number. When I arrived I ran through Leicester Square Tube station and through the square itself until I found my friend and the other people waiting. After getting my breath back I got my number and I was lucky enough to be number 31! which shocked me considering that it was  Star Wars.

Now I had a number I went back home for a few hours to finish of some coursework and have something to eat before having to spend a night in the cold with no sleep. I headed back to the Square around 8pm wearing lots of layers and carrying two big bags and a camping chair, I imagine the people on the tube probably thought I was strange. I met up with my friends who were also doing the premiere and to kill time we went to some of the stage doors in hopes of meeting some of the stars. Firstly we went to try meet Kenneth Branagh who at the time was apart of Harlequinade. Unfortunately he didn't come out so we went to try and meet Jim Broadbent who was performing in A Christmas Carol over the Christmas period. After waiting around half an hour he came out and I was lucky enough to get a photo with him and to get a photo of him portraying Professor Slughorn from the Harry Potter films signed as its my favourite film he is in. Overall he was very nice and signed for most of the people who waited.

By this time it had hit 11pm so me and friends decided to head back to the square to get settled for the evening assuming a lot of people would be turning up throughout the night. The night itself was quite entertaining because two other friends of  mine came and stood with us for a while after having a night out, amusing us with their drunken antics. Shortly after a bus driver came up to us and asked us what we were doing and ended staying for a while too because his bus had broken down. as time went on my friends and the bus driver left and things began to settle down and we just spoke among-st ourselves with only a couple more people turning up to queue. This really shocked me  but I wasn't going to complain and being a week day there were not many drunk or loud people around.

However..

When it got to around 5am a man approached us ( bare in mind its December) in Sandals, shorts and a sleeveless jacket and carried a back pack so I assumed he was here traveling but was shocked he was walking around in summer attire in the cold. Like other passers by he asked what we were doing and explained it was the Star Wars Premiere, this is were it got a bit strange. He began this very very  long story which I probably missed most of because it didn't made sense at all.Shortly after he had left  lots of people turnt up to get a number so from that point we were just waiting for our wristbands so that we could go home and rest up for the next day. Things began to get exciting from that point onward because press began turning up to interview us. Just in that morning I was interviewed by a journalists from The Evening Standard, Channel 5, ITV, LBC and some others. Overall it was all quite exciting and just made me even more excited for the premiere.

After a few hours more of waiting in the cold we finally got our wristbands, best part of this premiere was that security color coded the wristbands by the pens so I got to choose were I wanted to go without worrying about not getting a good space. After getting my wristbands I went on the hunt to buy some hair donuts and Star Wars attire to wear on the day it was safe to say I was pretty excited.

Camden

Yesterday me and my sister decided to go to Camden Lock to explore the markets and I realised just how much it has changed in the space of a year. A big part of the market was destroyed so that a school could be built and due to a fire the stables has changed and I am forever finding myself getting lost. Despite this there is still so much to see with the variety of shops and market stalls selling everything fromclothes, comics and vintage toys and a enough international cuisine to fill you up for life.
As for the part of the market that was demolished the wall that blocks it off has been painted with artwork that represents the best of Camden.

                                                                What I Wore

I always have my hair down so I decided to experiment by doing two high buns and they are my
new favourite thing. This hairstyle really goes well with 80s and 90s look that I went with.

Happy New Year

Firstly I must say sorry for my long absence, from October to December I had so many deadlines I had put everything on hold to get it all done. I am very happy to have time to once again do what I enjoy.
I can't believe how quickly the year has flown by and I would like to wish everyone a belated happy new year, I hope this brings you all success and happiness.
I thought I could start the year by sharing some of my goals for the year and some of the things that I hope to blog about.

1. Try and post more often
This something I struggle with, finding time for blogging, coursework and everything else, I this year I will be able to balance everything out and become more organised.

2. Start a YouTube channel
I have wanted to do this for a long time and now that I have a good camera I hope that I will finally find the confidence to sit and talk to a camera without feeling awkward. I have already created a background set up in my room so the next step will be to create a name and start filming.

3. Take part in more things
At university we have lots of different societies and I really want to be more active in what goes on so I am going to try and be a part of more things.

I only have 3 as I am not a resolutions person, I would love to hear yours and also If you have suggestions to what you want me to talk about on this blog then please let me know in the comments.

Autumn Look Book.

With the arrival of the new season bringing us chillier days, conkers and Halloween It also brings the new  season of fashion. This season I feel has definitely bought back the colours and patterns of the 70's with a 21st century touch to It and I thought I would put my style to the this season with a autumn look book.

1.No Tights, No Problem
At the moment the weather can't seem to decide what  It wants to do; In the morning It feels like the winter and by afternoon it feels like a cool summers day and so It Is still ok to wear a mid length dress without tights. I bought this dress from New Look on Oxford Street for £7 during their sale and It Is the perfect dress for the current weather with its brown toned down colours and vintage style fit and It really compliments the figure.I styled this dress with a pair Dr Martens Boots and a black hat from H&M.

   2. Nifty Thrifty
For this look I put together a vintage yellow short sleeve jumper that I found In the East End Thrift Store's £1 sale and I styled It with a black denim high wasted skirt from TopShop which cost £26. I also wore a pair of Dr Marten shoes and added a pair of vintage style sunglasses from Primark which cost £2. I really love this outfit because It really compliments the figure and Is simple yet stylish.

3. Simple and Suede
For this look I put together a long sleeve black top and a brown suede skirt both from Primark.I also added a cute daisy chain necklace from
Claire's Accessories and a pair of Dr Marten Shoes. This outfit Is very stylish and affordable
with the top being £4 and the skirt being around £10, considering the low prices the material is of very good quality.

4.Peace and Love
For this outfit I put together a pair of floral trousers from TopShop In LA at the sale price of $35 (£23). I styled them with a T-shirt that says "Good For One Free Trip" on the front and paid the sale price of £7. For shoes I wore a pair platform Converse high tops from TK Maxx at the price of £20. No 70's Inspired look book Is complete without a hippie-Esq look, I have always loved this style because like the hippie movement It's so colourful and
full of positive vibes when you look anyone wearing It.

I hope you can get some Inspiration from this look book, I think this season Is set to be a Interesting one.

Another great thing Is that this set comes with a tips and tricks booklet to help you If you are unsure of what to do. The Gabriella Lindley (velvetgh0st) Collection From Primark.

Yesterday was the launch of the new bedroom collection at Primark by Youtuber Gabriella Lindley (velvetgh0st), I was very excited for this collection as It Is very cat themed so of course I had to go and get It the second It was available. The collection has a variety of things Including bedding, cushions, mugs, a smoothie cup, a sleeping mask, fairy lights, a door hook with "sparkle like a diamond" and a frame with "being yourself Is the prettiest thing you can be". I decided to get the bedding and the cushions but I found the whole collection to be so adorable, high quality and unique to anything Primark has had In past home ware collections.

The attention to detail on the packaging has been very well done I love the mix of the black and pink fonts with the pattern that's used on a lot of the products and of course the adorable font used for Gabriella's name and I love how It has some texture to It.
The fabric on the bedding Is really soft and really comfortable to sleep In and really brings some colour Into your room, I love how the quilt cover has the triangular pattern with pastel colours and the pillows have a cats face on with "lets sleep In" written on It because It keeps with the cat theme within the collection without It being to much. The cushions are very comfortable and match nicely with the bedding and really do complete the bed If you are someone who likes having cushions on show.

Overall I rate this collection 10 out of 10 for good quality, design and also the prices of each Item are very reasonable and affordable so If you are a cat lover or just looking for new bedding or bedroom Items then I strongly recommend this collection.

"By The Sea, Wouldn't That Be Smashing"

Brighton Beach

Brighton Pier
Last week I went on a day trip to the seaside town Brighton for my sisters birthday and for the first time and really enjoyed It. There was so much to do and with limited time we had a lot to jam pack In to one day and we managed to do It. Firstly we took a walk along the pier to see the popular attractions and arcades, The pier had two fairly big arcades on It filled with your favourite arcades games like the classic 2p machines and who can forget struggle we all go through to win a toy from the claw machine. If you are a person who loves rides then you will enjoy the attractions the pier has to offer as It has rides to cater to everyone from merry go rounds to roller coasters for all those thrill seekers out there, If you are planning to go on multiple rides then I strongly recommend getting the £20 wrist band which will get you on all the rides as many times  as you want.

Here I am wearing a Little Mermaid bow from Hot Topic

After exploring the pier we went and sat on the beach and with It being a stone beach It wasn't the most comfortable place but It was still nice with the waves splashing against the shore and the smell of seaweed and fish In the air It Is just what you want to see and hear when you go to the seaside.

The Laines

ChoccyWockyDooDah
After spending sometime on the beach we decided to get some lunch at Ed's Diner which Is great If you love that 50's American diner feel and this followed with some exploring of what shops Brighton had to offer and we happy find lots good shops like TopShop, H&M at Churchill's Square and many more. We also discovered the Laines which are filled with lots Independent cake shops, Antique shops and the Famous ChoccyWoccyDooDah shop which was filled with many people waiting to go In their cafe and to purchase unique chocolate treats, I recommend you visit you will want to eat It all. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the North Laine which Is filled with Vintage shops and Independent Business's selling art, photos and more I will definitely be blogging about It on my next visit.

We left to come back to London at 5pm to come home and after a 2 and a half hour coach journey to Victoria we had to endure  another two journey that would usually take half an hour due to the Tube strike but despite that It was a lovely day and I can't to return.
