Autumn Look Book.

With the arrival of the new season bringing us chillier days, conkers and Halloween It also brings the new  season of fashion. This season I feel has definitely bought back the colours and patterns of the 70's with a 21st century touch to It and I thought I would put my style to the this season with a autumn look book.

1.No Tights, No Problem
At the moment the weather can't seem to decide what  It wants to do; In the morning It feels like the winter and by afternoon it feels like a cool summers day and so It Is still ok to wear a mid length dress without tights. I bought this dress from New Look on Oxford Street for £7 during their sale and It Is the perfect dress for the current weather with its brown toned down colours and vintage style fit and It really compliments the figure.I styled this dress with a pair Dr Martens Boots and a black hat from H&M.

   2. Nifty Thrifty
For this look I put together a vintage yellow short sleeve jumper that I found In the East End Thrift Store's £1 sale and I styled It with a black denim high wasted skirt from TopShop which cost £26. I also wore a pair of Dr Marten shoes and added a pair of vintage style sunglasses from Primark which cost £2. I really love this outfit because It really compliments the figure and Is simple yet stylish.

3. Simple and Suede
For this look I put together a long sleeve black top and a brown suede skirt both from Primark.I also added a cute daisy chain necklace from
Claire's Accessories and a pair of Dr Marten Shoes. This outfit Is very stylish and affordable
with the top being £4 and the skirt being around £10, considering the low prices the material is of very good quality.

4.Peace and Love
For this outfit I put together a pair of floral trousers from TopShop In LA at the sale price of $35 (£23). I styled them with a T-shirt that says "Good For One Free Trip" on the front and paid the sale price of £7. For shoes I wore a pair platform Converse high tops from TK Maxx at the price of £20. No 70's Inspired look book Is complete without a hippie-Esq look, I have always loved this style because like the hippie movement It's so colourful and
full of positive vibes when you look anyone wearing It.

I hope you can get some Inspiration from this look book, I think this season Is set to be a Interesting one.

Going Back To Uni And Tips For New Freshers.

In a couple of weeks I will be returning back to university for my second year of BA Journalism and I am both nervous and excited at the same time because there Is a lot of work which sometimes can get overwhelming and I am also going to be doing modules that I will enjoy because they relate to what I like and what I want to do. I am also looking forward to having a routine again as the past couple of weeks have been boring and have gone by slowly as well as learning new skills and having new experiences.
Since I am going In to my second year I thought I could offer some advice and tips based of my experiences as a first year student so I hope this will come across as helpful.

1. Go to the freshers fair.
Every University will have one and It Is there so that you can meet other students and sign up to societies which are "clubs" you can join based on your Interest E.g If you love films then you could join a film society. Another great thing about the freshers fair Is that a lot of outside companies will come In offering special deals and products and even freebies! what more could you want? Another Important thing Is that you can find out the different student services that are on offer on your campus as well as meeting the people who run your student union and what they provide.

2. Try New Things.
Going to University Is a huge new thing In It self and gives you the opportunity to try new things and face your fears with both hands big or small. When I started University I knew I wanted to try new things to find a new hobby and I didn't find just find one but I found two, first being this blog I really wanted a place to be creative and make my own content and put the skills I am learning to the test. The second being attending film premieres and similar events In order to see and meet my favourite actors, singers and directors. In the past year I have met and had unforgettable experiences such as meeting Daniel Radcliffe and getting a hug from him and meeting the ridiculously talented Johnny Depp and witnessing just how kind he Is to us his fans. I have also made so many Friends and had Incredible experiences so take It from  me It well worth trying new things.

3. Stay Balanced And Don't Leave It To The Last Minute.
You might be wondering how on earth you are going to have time to do fun things with all the work well don't panic because you will be able to do both by simply having a balance between the two. There will be times were the work load won't be so heavy so you have more spare time but sometimes you will have more work however you can still keep a balance. The best way to not get overwhelmed Is to try to start your work as soon as you get It and not leaving It to the last minute It will be the worst kind of stress trying to meet your deadlines and submitting at the last second because so many people make this mistake and If like me you submit online the software gets strained and crashes when every one submits at the last second.

4. Keep A Budget
You may have heard some horror stories of people who have managed to spend their entire student finance In a matter of weeks but don't panic because this a small number of people and there are ways to avoid over spending. For me personally I found that breaking up my money over each week of term until the date of the next payment and sticking to that budget and to avoid going over budget I noted down In a notebook all of my purchases and I found It has worked really well.

5. Make Use Of Discounts
One of the many perks of student life Is all the discounts you can get on various things and you don't need to pay for a NUS card for some of them If you present your student ID many places will accept that.During the freshers period many shopping malls will hold student events were you can get discounts throughout the whole mall Including places that don't usually do them so keep an eye out.

I hope that these tips are useful and I wish anyone who Is starting University good luck you will have a blast I promise!

August Favourites

As the summer comes to an end and we enter September I thought I would share my August favourites and I am going try and do this at the end each month depending on things I buy, places I go, films I watch etc.. This months favourites are all things that I have purchased whilst on my trip to LA as well as things I have bought In the shops and online.

 1.Pink Lipstick
This Lipstick Is In the colour pink rose and I purchased It In Forever 21 from their love and beauty range atHollywood and Hyland centre on Hollywood Blvd. I fell In love with this lipstick the second I used It because It has a lovely smell of coconut so when it hits your lips It just feels nice. I have never really been a lipstick person but since finding this one I have not stopped wearing It and the best thing about It Is that Isn't a over the top bright shade of pink and suits me really nicely.

                                                       2. Disneyland 60th Anniversary Jumper
The day of my holiday to LA that I was the most excited for was my day trip to the happiest and most magical place on earth; Disneyland. I was very lucky to be able to visit during the 60th anniversary celebrations and so I made the most of this opportunity and bought some 60th souvenir's such as this gorgeous jumper. I have a small collection of vintage anniversary jumpers from both Disneyland and Walt Disney World and I thought this would be a nice addition to that. I had to get this jumper In a kids sie as the adult ones were really big but I
I didn't mind as the design on It Is still really nice.

   3. Retro Care Bear Jumper
I had wanted to get this jumper for a while and so recently I finally did    This adorable jumper has a retro My Little Pony print on It and was designed by     KelleyDeli.I have always loved the vintage My Little Pony Image  because It Is very kitsch and I really love that look and so I can't wait to style It. This jumper Is really soft and cosy so will be great on those horrible cold days.

                                                       4. Face Mask's
I have really got In to using face masks because there so many different ones with different textures and smells and they are really good for your skin especially If you are someone who suffers from spots or oily skin they help to make your skin soft and get rid of spots and dead skin. my personal favourite out all the ones I have tried Is the pink lemonade one by Montagne Jeunesse because It Is my favourite drink and smells like   It also. This face mask Is also good because It Is a lot less messy  because you leave It to dry and you peel it off after. These face mask's
can usually be found In Primark for 90p.

       5. Mary Poppins Christmas Ornament
A couple of weeks ago I visited the Oxford Street Disney Store and discovered       that they had already started to sell Christmas ornaments and I discovered
this  Mary Poppins one. Of course I was very happy and excited because I
love Mary Poppins and rarely find stuff of her. I decided to instead of put It on
a Christmas tree I would keep a permanent part of room by hanging by my
window as If she was flying. If you would like to get this or any of Disney
Christmas ornament then be quick as the nice ones sell quite quickly.

6. Lucifer Plush
My final favourite for this month Is also from the same trip to the Oxford Street Disney Store and Is this adorable Lucifer the cat from Cinderella plush. As soon as I found out they had this I was determined to find him because I really wanted to give my bed a bit of a cat theme as I already had the Cheshire Cat from my trip to Disneyland Paris and they go together nicely. Overall this plush Is really good quality and Is also very cuddly and soft.
